Director & Principal Consultant, Logan’s ARCH
Fenella is a heritage professional based on the Isle of Man, with a strong academic background and extensive practical experience in historical building recording, archaeological research and collection management. She graduated with a First-Class BA (Hons) in History & Heritage Management (1:2) with Manx Studies, reflecting her academic excellence and deep commitment to understanding the Island’s cultural and architectural history. She is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (ACIfA, #12557).

What Fenella Brings
- Deep knowledge of Isle of Man heritage and history – With academic training grounded in Manx Studies, Fenella understands the social, cultural and architectural history of the Island, giving her a unique perspective when assessing heritage buildings or historic sites.
- Practical experience across archaeology, collections and building recording – Alongside Logan’s ARCH, Fenella also runs Isle of Man Collections Management, where she undertakes archaeological documentation, site recording, finds processing and collection care. This dual professional practice gives her a well-rounded skillset in both built heritage and material culture.
- Published research and documentation skills – Fenella has contributed to academic publications on Manx heritage, including structural analysis studies and material-culture research such as the clay tobacco pipe assemblage from Rushen Abbey.
- Professional standards and ethics – As an ACIfA-registered heritage consultant, she applies recognised best-practice methods to all recording, documentation and assessment work.
